Looking to start a garden this spring? Well, despite all the snow, spring is right around the corner, and the City of Wausau Sustainability, Energy, and Environment Committee (SEEC) is excited to partner with the University of Wisconsin-Madison in order to help those looking to learn how to grow their own vegetables in a sustainable way through a free educational series.

This beginner-friendly course is designed for anyone interested in growing vegetables, whether starting from scratch or refining existing skills. Through four interactive sessions, participants will explore the fundamentals of vegetable gardening using an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) framework. Session topics include:

2. Strong Starts: Soil, Seeds, and Transplants

3. Insects and IPM: Building a Balanced Garden

4. Tackling Weeds and Diseases: Smart Solutions for Garden Health
