The Penguin Project of Central Wisconsin is an extraordinary theater program designed for young individuals aged 8-22. The “Artists” involved have various diagnoses, including but not limited to autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, cognitive learning challenges, ADD, ADHD and various physical challenges. Each “Artist” is paired with a peer, or mentor, also between the ages of 8 and 21. They work closely together over a period of 4 months to produce a musical. Our mission is to provide these talented individuals with a platform to express themselves creatively, break barriers, and bring joy to the community through the magic of theater. Each year, a heartwarming celebration of the human spirit unfolds in numerous theaters across the country. Individuals participating in The Penguin Project perform a modified version of a well-known Broadway musical.
