Steve Carrier, a member of John Jacobs Next Generation Power Force who has preached as an evangelist for more than 25 years, will present a message on how God moves powerfully in our lives at Crossroads Assembly of God in Rothschild, Wisconsin July 27 as part of the 10:15 a.m. service.
Carrier said that when he was born, doctors advised his parents that he would likely never walk. His father responded that he believed God would heal his son. Carrier went on to play sports in high school, winning a state championship. He has been a long-time member of John Jacobs’ Strength Evangelist Concept, which produced the Power Team and Next Generation Power Force groups that combine strongman feats of strength with evangelistic messages. Carrier has been featured on ESPN, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not and America’s Got Talent, and was a winner of the variety show Steve Harvey’s Big Time Challenge. He set the record for most baseball bats broken in 60 seconds for the Guinness Book of World Records, and holds other feats of strength records. Carrier also founded Mega Force Ministries, which emphasizes themes like leadership and anti-bullying as well as the Gospel and developing Christ-likeness. A free-will offering will be taken.
