The Wausau Wheelers are hosting their 5th Annual Tour de Briq’s on Saturday, July 8th from 12:00-4:00 pm. Our cycling group has 4 unique rides going to 2, 3, 4, or all 5 Briq’s Soft-Serve locations in Wausau and Mosinee. Come out and eat some ice cream and ride with the Wausau Wheelers for a great cause! We are riding to raise funds for Cycling Without Age of Marathon County with the help of the Briq’s organization, who donates the ice cream treats for our riders. Cycling Without Age gives free rides to shut-ins and the elderly on their special Tri-shaws which are staffed by trained volunteer pilots.

To participate: All cyclists will meet at the Aspirus YMCA in Weston to register between 11:30am-12:30pm. Different groups will leave the parking lot to bicycle to 2, 3, 4 or 5 Briq’s locations. (The more stops, the longer and faster the pace of the ride is) Cyclists are asked to participate in a free will donation (suggested) of at least $20 that will go to Cycling Without Age Marathon County. This event is open to the public, and membership in the Wausau Wheelers is not required to participate. All riders must wear a helmet and follow the direction of the ride leader. Briq’s will provide free soft serve treats to cyclists with event wristbands during these rides from noon to 4pm on the day of the ride. Rain Date is Sunday, July 9th.
