United Way Community Closet

The closet is open to anyone to shop, free of charge. Stocked with almost everything shoppers would need from socks, shoes, jackets, scrubs, maternity clothes and much more. Located at 705 S. 24th Ave, Suite 440, Wausau, The shopping hours are: Monday and Tuesdays: 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Thursdays: 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. The donation hours are: Wednesday: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Fridays: 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m.

USDA's Summer Meal Program

helps provide any child under 18 with a full plate of food. Many locations, times and days vary.

Bridge Street Mission

Our 115 W Bridge St in Wausau is open as a warm location for fellowship from
10am-3pm Mondays to Fridays with in person sit down lunches from
12-1pm. To go meals are also available. bridgestreetmission.org

The Neighbors' Place Food Pantry

Distributes donated and government commodity foods in Wausau 4 days a week: Monday,
Tuesday & Thursday 10:30am-1:30pm, Wednesday 1:30-4:30pm. www.neighborsplace.org

The Salvation Army

Free Hot Lunches available for everyone on a walkin basis Monday-Saturday 11:30am-12:30pm
(except holidays). Bread and Produce Distribution occurs each Monday through Friday
at 10:30am. Food Pantry is open Monday through Friday 10:30-11:30am and 12:30-2:30pm. www.sawausau.org

Community Action Partnership

Distributes both fresh and non-perishable food every other Friday 2-4pm at Ministry of

Community Center of Hope Food Pantry

Community food pantry for southern Marathon County residents in need.
Distributes Tuesdays 2:30-4:30pm and Thursdays 9-11am. www.cchope.net

Community United Pantry

Food pantry for Colby, Curtiss, Abbotsford and Dorchester residents in an emergency,

Covenant Food Pantry

Provides emergency food for area families in need. Distributes the 2nd and 4th Wednesday
of the month from 3-5pm, at the Covenant Community Presbyterian Church at 1806 Weston

Edgar Circle of Joy Food Pantry

Offers emergency food for residents in Edgar and Marathon City areas, the 1st Wednesday

First Presbyterian Church Food Pantry

Church volunteers distribute food on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month, 1-2pm.

Crisis Stabilization

North Central Health Care offers a short term, non-medical crisis stabilization
program that provides counseling, therapy, and rehabilitation. A youth crisis

Salvation Army Transitional Living Center

Community Shelter and support for local homeless population. Offers case

Women's Community Safe Shelter

Shelter for victims of domestic abuse, human trafficking, or sexual assault
and their children at The Women's Community. Support groups, advocacy, and other specialized

Emergency Assistance Program

Needy families with a child that have a current emergency of homelessness, impending
homelessness, energy crisis, fire, flood or natural disaster, may apply to receive Emergency
