Spring Cleaning?

River of Hope Free Clothes Closet is inside Mt. Calvary Church, 503 Schmidt Ave in Rothschild. They take clean and gently used clothing, bedding and shoes. Every Monday 1-4 and Thursday 9 to noon. There is no income restriction, anyone can come, and they don't take your name at the door. You can bring donations or come get clothing during their open hours.

Looking to start a garden this spring? Well, despite all the snow, spring is right around the corner, and the City of Wausau Sustainability, Energy, and Environment Committee (SEEC) is excited to partner with the University of Wisconsin-Madison in order to help those looking to learn how to grow their own vegetables in a sustainable way through a free educational series.

This beginner-friendly course is designed for anyone interested in growing vegetables, whether starting from scratch or refining existing skills. Through four interactive sessions, participants will explore the fundamentals of vegetable gardening using an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) framework. Session topics include:

1. Plan Your Garden: Choosing Crops and Mapping Success

2. Strong Starts: Soil, Seeds, and Transplants

3. Insects and IPM: Building a Balanced Garden

4. Tackling Weeds and Diseases: Smart Solutions for Garden Health

Let their creativity shine and turn their ideas into a mini business! Our Kids Markets give kids the chance to create, make, and sell their own products while learning confidence, creativity, and real-life business skills. We’re currently recruiting kid entrepreneurs and families to join us for our upcoming Summer Kids Markets! It’s a fun, supportive environment where kids can showcase their talents and experience what it’s like to run their own booth.

Praying for Prodigals

Praying for Prodigals will be held on Saturday, April 18th at Bible Truth Chapel in Wausau. Speaker James Banks will lead four powerful sessions on loving your prodigal through prayer, trusting God in the silence, navigating “no contact,” and spiritual warfare. Summer Day Camp

Start planning ahead for summer: Wausau & Marathon County Parks & Rec Summer Camp is fully sponsored again this year by Love You, Kid! Foundation. Providing kids with a fun, safe and free summer experience. Mon-Thur afternoons, register per week, for 3rd - 8th grades. Try fishing, pickleball, racquetball, basketball, Stem activities, crafts and a swim day each week.
